UX concept work in digital sales

Turning complex requirements into processes you can verify

In digital sales processes, product goals, business requirements, brand guidelines and technical conditions all meet at once. Our task was to translate those requirements into processes people can follow and designs that can be checked.

What we contributed

From clarifying the requirements through to handover to the development teams, we were responsible for five steps.

1. Structuring the requirements

Together with the business units and product owners, we put product goals, business requirements and technical conditions in order and turned them into a shared basis for the work ahead.

2. Designing customer and dealer journeys

We designed the journeys of customers and retail partners end to end — including the transitions between the systems and roles involved.

3. Screen designs and prototypes

Designs took shape as screen designs and interactive prototypes, so that processes could be played through early and reviewed with everyone involved.

4. Style guides and front-end guidelines

For the build, we produced style guides and front-end guidelines so that design decisions and brand requirements would hold across teams.

5. Supporting the agile build

While the agile teams built the product, we supported development from the design side and checked the results against the agreed designs.

The outcome

The work produced reusable concept, design and handover artefacts that now serve as a shared basis for product owners, design and development.
